Cu-ETP (CW004A)

Copper with a high conductivity for the manufacturing of coil, bar, wire and other electrical components. The oxygen content will create a embrittlement if the copper is heated at a reducing atmosphere. NB : coppers with a specific conductivity are included in the special standards about materials intended for electrical processes. The mechanical properties are identical to the standards' ones suitable to mechanics processes.

Used for the manufacturing of wires, bars, sheets, plates and coils for electrical using, it is the most usual quality. Sometimes it is called "electrolytic" copper.

It is sensitive to heat in reducing atmosphere, that implies some limitations in case of heat treatments and welding, especially with a welding torch.
