Cu-HCP (CW024A)

 

Copper electrolytically or thermically refined that has gone through a deoxidation treatment with phosporus. The result is a phosphorus content from 0,013 to 0,050 %.

The residual phosphorus has the effect to decrease the electrical conductivity but it makes that copper insensitive to reducing atmospheres. So that grade applies to mechanical usings and is perfectly weldable with no limitation.

General engineering usings that do not require the highest conductivity. There is no oxygen, so no embrittlement.

It is the most often found as "thin" products such as sheets, tubes, strips.
